RearMaxx from Frederic Jouffe

In November 2010, Frederic Jouffe, farmer from the West of France, made the decision in consultation with his parents to invest in a new system for rearing aviary pullets.

The existing building of 76m x 17m was equipped with cages for several years and provided the buildings layer of the group Glon Sanders.

Frederic had several options to renovate the building, such as the production of pullets cages in a new system, the production of pullets on the ground as he had in another building next door or the production of aviary pullets to respond on the demand which is currently rising.
Finally he decided to choose for the option of producing aviary pullets.

The complete installation inside the building has been conducted jointly by the team of Jansen Poultry Equipment and the team Eltec - farm equipment. Jansen's team for the whole RearMaxx and the team of Eltec, official dealer of the brand in Britain (France), for all the electricity and ventilation. This installation took place during the months of October and November 2011.

This is a building with four rows of three floors each and this system offers the great opportunity to raise the chick as well as the cages hen and hens for aviary systems with no change in the system between two different bands.

The first flock went into the building November 25, 2011, which is a flock of aviary pullets for laying aviary system in two buildings in the area.

Frederic has a monitoring and a presence on request from Jansen Poultry Equipment and Eltec especially because this was his first flock of aviary pullets. Frederic has already provided a great experience in rearing cages and floor systems through the other buildings he owns.

When we put this article online, the pullets are already in production for several weeks and is very satisfied with the work done in his building. The workload is strictly the same as before in the beginning of the flock because the pullets start at the intermediate level of compartmentalized structures.

Finally the farmer is satisfied with the follow-up by people who were present from Jansen since the beginning of the project and hopes that its first flock will be a perfect one.
