Opening new office

BARNEVELD, The Netherlands - with a gunshot alderman Gerard van den Hengel has official opened the new office of Jansen Poultry Equipment at the Harselaarseweg 32 in Barneveld at Wednesday 20th May. “You have made the business a success”, thus the alderman concerning the company which is specialised in housing systems for the poultry sector.

Owner Ab Jansen and his employees received the congratulations at the opening of the new office especially because of the plural use of the space. Van den Hengel: “You have built the office on the parking place and a you have build a parking deck for 45 cars between two production halls over ground. The old office can be now converted to production hall. The result shows of a nice building which fits well in the facelift of our business park the Harselaar, which starts next year”.

In its speech the alderman underlined the important role of Jansen Poultry Equipment in the Poultry sector. “You stand with your 75 employees high esteemed. You are a beating heart within the Dutch Poultry Centre. Your main goal is to meet and anticipate on our customers wishes. Your main points are thinking from animal well-being, care for the environment, innovation in the sector and a favourable cost. We stand on the eve of convalescence of the economy, which I expect in 2010. Certainly for the feeding sector within which you operate worldwide, more favourable times lie ahead”

After the gun shot of the alderman and launching a large number of white balloons General Director Ab Jansen (61) gives an explanation on the extension. “By building office space in three layers we have entered 1200 square meters. That is according to the expectations enough for the coming ten years. If not, then we build 3 floors more on top. Also our 400 ton stock of metal plates has been pilled up. Within a minute the plate with the correct cross-section is available without a man handle."  

In 1988 Mr. A. Jansen  first started the company Jansen Poultry Equipment. He started his company at his fathers’ farm yard. In twenty years time he managed his company to grow to 70 employees.

We started producing automatic laying nests for broiler breeders and for commercial layers. Very soon this was expanded with aviary systems,  egg transport systems, rearing systems and manure drying systems. All these products are now marketed world wide. Constant research and development have resulted in the most efficient laying nest available and a innovative egg collection system.
