Succesful aviary in France
December 2009, Mr. Thomas Heno from Pontivy (Bretagne), the heart of the poultry industry in France, signed a contract for a new aviary. October 2010 starts the first round in the new equipped house.
The house of Mr. Heno was first equipped with a floor housing system the house is now equipped with the Jansen Poultry Equipment Comfort 2 aviary system. The number of birds is therefore doubled to 22,500 birds.

Although Mr. Heno had no experience with aviary systems, and with the handicap that knowledge of aviary systems in France still is not as such in the Netherlands, he has a successful flock with good results. The laying % stays around the 96% mark. The number of floor eggs hovers around 1%. Mr. Heno expects by the experiences of the first round this even further to bring in the next round because there was some uneasiness with the new system.

Due to the fact that aviary rearing facilities in France are less present than in the Netherlands there was chosen for a system with many approach platforms so the birds can move easily between systems.
Mr. Heno is very satisfied with the amount of work in the house and has more fun than before being poultry farmer. If he had the chance he would build a house next to this house. It amazed him how little more work there is in this house over the old facility. Furthermore, almost all system eggs are still first class quality because of the protected reserves in the system. Feed consumption varies with outdoor access during winter around

The customer is very satisfied with the advice and guidance given to him by Jansen Poultry Equipment in the process of selling, installing and into production.
