Innovations for the BroMaxx

Jansen Poultry Equipment introduces several innovations for the BroMaxx broiler system.

These improvements come upon request from our customers, experiences in the market place and from our own innovations. They are listed below. Some improvements are implemented as standard, while others are optional, this is all mentioned per item.

Manure pit cross beams (standard)
Manure pit cross beams, to carry the drive units, are now standard included with the BroMaxx system (Pointed out by 6 arrows in picture below, with covers in between. The BroMaxx systems are placed, where the arrows are shown).
This will speed up the assembly of the BroMaxx system and is therefore labour saving and also, the client doesn’t have to search for beams anymore. The assembly is also more precise and the quality of the system will increase.

Manure pit covers (optional)
Manure pit covers, made of galvanized steel (checker plate), are now available, so the pit can be covered and as an important result of this, possible air leaks are prevented. These covers can be easily removed, so the manure can drop on the cross manure belt.

Wire mesh partition wall (optional)
Especially for application of the BroMaxx system in tropical countries with a high humidity, Jansen has developed wire mesh partition walls.
Because of this, the air velocity is enhanced, which is very important for an optimum tunnel ventilation. This improves the environment for the broilers, so they can reach their desired slaughter weight in a better manageable way, which enhances highest profitability.
The supporting legs and cross supports are manufactured from Sendzimir galvanized sheet and the wire mesh is made of Galvan (high-performance galvanized wire mesh). These new wire mesh partition walls are exchangeable with existing BroMaxx systems.

LED-light (standard)
The LED-tube has many advantages, when compared to the previous energy-efficient lamp. Every BroMaxx section used to have two lamps, but now one LED-tube is sufficient and is even more efficient!
The electricity costs are reduced greatly per section (8,5 Watt instead of 2x 9 Watt) and a longer life time is realised up to nearly 4 times (30,000 hours instead of 7,000 hours. Furthermore the LED-tube provides a  better dispersion of the light in every section of the BroMaxx system.

Automatic flush system (optional)
The automatic flush system for the drink nipple line is meant to rinse the water system.

The Controller LCM-8 is able to flush 8 drinking lines, one after the other. It is possible to flush at fixed times and to flush a fixed part of the system.
Each line is flushed separately, the pause between the lines and the flushing time can both be adjusted.

The flush system increases the hygiene of the water and therefore the quality of the broilers.
It is furthermore labour saving and it also enhances labour convenience.

Centralised controllable scrapers (standard)
Centralised controllable scrapers are integrated in the system, to remove any possible dirt from the manure belt.

To enhance labour convenience, now only 2 handles are necessary to operate all the scrapers of the manure belts. These 2 handles are positioned at an easy working height, to enhance labour convenience even more.
Previously 2 handles per scraper were needed, so a total of 8 handles, when a 4-tiers BroMaxx system was used.

These scrapers are also used to remove the manure from the belts, just before the broilers are being transported out of the system, so they will be removed on a clean manure belt.

UNLOADING OPTIONS
There are two options to unload the BroMaxx system:
- The first option is a lift, which can unload one level from multiple rows at the same time.
- The second option is an unloading frame (see below), which is used to unload multiple levels of several rows at the same time, whether with crates or containers.

Hybrid unloading frame (optional)
To simplify and accelerate the loading process of the broilers in crates or containers, a hybrid loading frame is now available.
Multiple employees can simultaneously work, filling the crates or containers with broilers. This way the loading process is sped-up greatly and therefore this system is labour and time saving.

Brief working method, when working with crates: On each level, on the upper loading track empty crates arrive and are manually placed on a lower rack, to be filled with broilers. Once filled, the crate can be pushed back on a second loading track and moved to the truck loading door.
Under the platform you can unload the 1st and 2nd tier of the BroMaxx system. On the platform itself you can unload the 3rd and 4th tier.

This hybrid loading frame can be used, when the processing plant can only process a limited amount of broilers per hour. Large benefit of this hybrid system is, when the processing plant can process a larger amount of broilers, it can easily be converted into a container frame, by removing the special crate frame (see text below).

Container unloading frame (optional)
A container unloading frame is used when the processing plant can process a large amount of broilers per hour. Large benefit of this container system is, multiple employees can simultaneously work, filling the containers with broilers. This way the unloading process of the BroMaxx system is sped-up and therefore the container frame is labour and time saving.

Brief working method, when working with containers: Containers are placed on the tracks and are manually filled with broilers. Once filled, the crates can be rolled on the tracks to the exit side, where a forklift will load the containers on a truck.

The bottom track is for containers, which are for unloading the 1st and 2nd tier of the BroMaxx system and on top of the platform you can fill the containers with broilers from the 3rd and 4th tier.
The BroMaxx system can quickly be unloaded with fewer people. So it is labour and time saving.

Buffer container (standard, if combined with an unloading frame)
When broilers are transported on the cleaned manure belt to the end of the BroMaxx system, they will be unevenly spread over the manure belt. To build up a supply of broilers, a buffer container is required.

The broilers are collected gently this way, so there is far less chance of damage, which maintains carcass quality.
This buffer container speeds up and improves the unloading procedure.

It is labour saving and it also enhances labour convenience, because it prevents broilers from falling onto the floor and having to catch them manually.

Detergent FoamMaxx (optional)
Jansen has developed a detergent, which is suitable for an optimal cleaning of the entire BroMaxx system, after every round of broilers.
This non-corrosive foam is sprayed on the system, via the special spray gun. The FoamMaxx and the water are mixed properly in the spraying gun, for an optimum foaming result.
The FoamMaxx has many advantages; it is a cleaning and disinfecting product, with a superb adhesion, so it can absorb the dirt very well (advice is to let it soak for 30 minutes).
The Jansen high-pressure sprayer is also required to efficiently remove all the foam; with a high pressure and yet little use of water. A user guide is included.
