The Jansen feed pan
More over, this unique new feeder pan does not need an adjustable cone for day-old chicks to reach the feed or height adjustment for older age broilers to prevent feed spillage. Thus no pulleys and cables are required for height Also the pan itself is hinged at the cone section so that the pan can hang downwards for easy cleaning.
During the development of the BroMaxx, Jansen Poultry Equipment engineers learned that two types of feeder systems do not work in cages: feed troughs along the outside of the BroMaxx cage and traditional broiler floor pan feeders. The feed troughs block access to the feed in warm weather as birds move to the outside edge of the cages to get close to the cooler alley ways between the rows. The feed trough is blocked for the rest of the birds who cannot eat enough and uniformity decreases. Traditional floor pan feeders lead to feed spillage as the birds can go inside the feeder pan (especially at a young age) and play/scratch with the feed. Any feed moved out of the feeder pan is lost through the open floor system onto the manure belt below.
Therefore Jansen Poultry Equipment developed an unique pan feeder for the BroMaxx: the Jansen Poultry Equipment anti-spillage pan feeder. Two pan feeders are installed for each cage section. Birds cannot climb into the feeder pan which also has an anti-spill lip and therefore no feed spillage will occur.
adjustment inside the cage which makes for easy cleaning.
