The brand new FlexFloor®
Older broiler cage floors (such as plastic mesh, wire mesh or traditional solid slat floors) all have the disadvantages that they either lead to breast blisters, leg problems or complicated cleaning and maintenance procedures.
Because of the above, Jansen Poultry Equipment has developed the FlexFloor®, an unique soft, flexible and yet very strong plastic flooring system. This floor prevents breast blisters, leg and wing damages and stays clean throughout the entire flock period.
The FlexFloor® keeps the birds out of their own manure which also means that coccidiosis plays no role, saving on coccidiostats.
The clean FlexFloor® has also a positive effect on enteric diseases such as necrotic enteritis (reduced antibiotica use) and the prevention of salmonella contamination.
FlexFloor® has also an advantage: during hot weather, when the broilers are also cooled by the air current of the tunnel ventilation system, through the openFlexFloor® underneath the broilers. In a traditional floor housing system this extra ventilation from underneath the broilers is not possible.
This means that also in hot weather feed consumption remains good which maintains the performance of the broilers. BroMaxx broilers reach their target weight up to 1 week faster!
The FlexFloor® also plays an important role in the mechanical catching system.
