Mr. ten Hagen: maximum production
In Laar, just across the Dutch border in Germany, you will find the breeder farm of Mr. Ten Hagen.
In 2000 his new breeder house was taken in production. The house of 23 meter wide has two rows of Jansen laying nests and houses 10,000 birds. On each side of the nests, there is a plastic slatted area of 2,2 meter. Half way the nests are divided with a cross-over. This is not only very practical for working convenience, but also for a optimum spreading of the birds.
The standard density in the houses is high, just like the results. Thanks to the Jansen laying nests, which is continuously proving itself, Mr. Ten Hagen has had absolute fabulous results.
There are two houses located next to each other. That’s why Mr. Ten Hagen has chosen for a central egg collection in the front, to optimize the egg transport to the central egg packer.
