In the middle of the house there is a row of laying nests with a 2 meter plastic slat on both sides. The nest boxes are equipped with high quality perforated grass mats. Because of the open structure of the grass mat the extent of pollution in side the nest boxes is reduced to a minimum.

Thanks to the expel system broodiness is avoided and a maximum management result is achieved with this system. Each row of laying nests is interrupted with a cross-over. In these places the birds can move from one side of the nests to the other. By using different coloured light the risk of picking is minimised.

Feed and water lines are attached to the ceiling. During cleaning the lines can be very easily winched up. The plastic slat are very easy to take apart and put back again which will result in a short cleaning period. The house is equipped in such a way that there is a good dividing of the feed lines. The feeding system of VDL Agrotech offers in this layout a good dividing of feed and feeding speed.
