When Jansen Poultry Equipment designed the first Automatic Roll-away nest about 20 years ago the main objective was: to design a nest that offered the best conditions to produce a maximum number of first class hatching eggs or consumption eggs.
This objective has always been followed and is also taken as a basis for the Premium+ nests.
The Premium+ nest is integrating several of the proven characteristics of the well known nests. The double nest is provided with a perforated egg belt between the nests. The wooden parts such as Roof plate, Front plate and Back wall are made of high quality water resistant plywood. The birds feel comfortable in this quiet condition. The climate inside the nest is optimal.
Compared to the present nest some details have been changed:Because the broiler breeders become heavier the entrance of the nest has been enlarged. The back wall can be installed in 2 positions to allow for a somewhat bigger nest, which is now suitable for 7 laying hens more. The space between the back wall and the nest mat has been reduced to prevent that the birds touch the eggs on the egg belt.
We are using the new Jansen Nest mat with its open structure and plastic holding bracket. The mat can be installed easily and is designed to prevent red mite due to a minimum of hiding places and an effective cleaning.
Together with the galvanised Clickframe® the nests can be installed very fast and the construction allows for easy and effective cleaning.
