The Nivo Varia rearing system is used to raise pullets from day-old to 18 weeks of age which will be housed in an aviary system. The Nivo Varia rearing system has a slatted floor and in addition raisable platforms which conditions the pullets for housing in an aviary system.

The openings of the new slat have been designed so that the feet of the day-old chicks are less likely to slip through the slat openings and thinner brooding paper can be used. The new slat can be walked on and is less susceptible to lice.

The new slat can be used in existing systems and is only available in white with a length of 1200 mm (47.24).
