Rijk Rijksen of Jansen Poultry Equipment developed in cooperation with 3 students of the Technical College in Ede, The Netherlands a system to load ducks.

The main goal of the task was to develop a duck load system that also could be used to load chickens in a multi tier broiler system.
Using the duck loading machine the ducks would be guided towards the machine. At the machine a moving belt will transport the ducks to the crates.
The advantages of the machine are:
- One person needed to control the machine
- Animal friendly
- Easy to clean
- Made off stainless steel
By investigation it has been definitely established that the automatic loading system results in about 30% less damage to the ducks in comparison with manual loading..jpg)
