13th January Jansen Poultry Equipment presented a new machine. With this new machine it's possible to roll up the manure belt under the slats in a breeder house.
We present the new machine during the Open House of Leon Moonen in Nederweert (Holland)
As from 2010 breeder companies have to adjust to stricter ammoniac emission regulations down to 435 grams ammonia per hen place per year. One way to fulfil this requirement is removing the manure regularly out side the house. This can be done by installing manure belts underneath the slats in front of the nests. The ammoniac emission will drop down to 247 grams per hen per year.
Cleaning the space between the slats and the manure belt can occur problems and might be a disadvantage of this system. Specially the cleaning requirements are very high within breeding sector (e.g. salmonella). There for Jansen Poultry Equipment developed a technical solution for cleaning the manure belts and the space below the slats (at the end of each flock). This all is possible by using manure belts which can be attached to each other with a metal tube. In the same way you attach that manure belt to a belt on a winding machine. Pulling back the belt below the slats, you high pressure clean the system.
